Hello, I am Emily
I am a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Toronto, Canada.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually turned into a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to Canada wasn’t in the long-term plan. Like many international moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something much more significant.
The initial months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complicated than they should.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Created Virel Daqo Ston
Most information online was either corporate-relocation guidance or superficial tourism material. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site exists to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Canada.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is about:
- Hands-on experience from living in Canada
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever there is a real change
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review site
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Canada goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I will continue recording what we find.
If you have questions about family life in Toronto or anywhere in Canada, please feel free to get in touch.
Best regards,
Emily
